Musashi Type

Musashi is an experimental display typeface inspired by the aesthetics of Japanese calligraphy, traditional symbols, and expressive brush lettering. The project explores the balance between structure and movement, transforming hand-drawn forms into a contemporary Cyrillic and Latin lettering system. The typeface was created as a personal exploration of expressive typography and character design, focusing on bold shapes, dynamic rhythm, and a distinctive visual voice. Each glyph was carefully developed to preserve the handcrafted feeling while maintaining consistency across the alphabet. The project is currently in development, with further work planned on the Latin character set, punctuation, and the creation of a complete font family.
